  Pre-driver training
Pre Drivers On a Lesson

Young people who do not have a driving licence will still benefit from learning driving skills.

At Diverse Road Safety, we offer training courses for small groups of young people. These short courses involve both in-car training on private land, and classroom work.

The DRIVERSITY course includes

  • basic car control
  • driving impairment exercises – ‘beer goggles’
  • moving off and stopping the car
  • speed awareness
  • driver attitudes – mobile phones, driving under the influence of drink or drugs
  • stopping distances

as well as many other important areas. A certificate is awarded at the end of the course.

The DRIVERSITY course is aimed at groups of young people with a minimum of 4 students, the course can be tailored to specific group needs.

Contact us on 0151 228 8404 or info@diverseroadsafety.org.uk to discuss your group’s specific needs.

“The young people really enjoyed the off road sessions which were extremely well organised providing a well balanced combination of classroom teaching and practical experience. The instructors were extremely motivated and  had excellent communication skills with the young people, making the sessions fun and interactive. They gave encouragement and  praise to all the young carers, many of whom have very low self esteem, and all of the young carers felt they had benefited greatly from the experience.

The young people gave excellent feedback from the sessions and felt very comfortable to move on to having individual lessons through Diverse Road Safety.” AA, Barnardo’s Action With Young Carers.
