Driving School wins award for exceptional services to disabled people.

Diverse Road Safety CIC has won a prestigious Positive Action Award 2010 for exceptional services to disabled people.
Anita Wainwright nominated Diverse Road Safety for the award. She is full of praise for the organisation which not only gave her driving lessons, but also helped her access support for her ADHD and dyslexia.
“Diverse Road Safety has helped me get back on the straight and narrow. They’ve given me driving lessons and helped me to get on courses for my ADHD and dyslexia. Before I met Tina Preston, I didn’t know I had ADHD, but now with her help, I’ve been able to access support and improve mine and my son’s life.”
The Positive Action Awards scheme, now in its 7th year is organised by Warrington Disability Partnership and sponsored by the Northwest Regional Development Agency.
Dave Thompson MBE DL, Chair of Warrington Disability Partnership, said,
“Thanks to the continuing support from the Northwest Development Agency we have developed an award scheme that during the past 7 years has enabled us to acknowledge the work of nearly 100 businesses and individuals that are making a real difference right here in the Northwest.
Tina Preston, one of Diverse Road Safety’s Directors said:
“It is such an honour to win this award. Our office staff and instructors have worked so hard, this award shows that their dedication has really paid off. We believe that everyone can learn how to drive whatever their ability, it’s really lovely to be recognised for our hard work.”
